01Establish when the additional demand will occur
Record confirmed production lines, planned start dates and undecided projects separately. For each additional load, state whether it operates at the same time as existing loads, requires higher gas quality or uses a different pressure. Simply adding every future requirement can overlook phased commissioning and production cycles, leaving the current system poorly matched to its actual operating duty.
02Base backup requirements on process continuity
Backup arrangements should follow the process's tolerance for a supply interruption. Identify which operations may pause, the acceptable interruption duration and the checks required before restarting. Then assess standby equipment or an external supply connection. Record the switching method, supported duration and test arrangements. Expansion reviews should also cover air compression, electrical supply, drying, filtration, storage and the distribution main so that increasing generator capacity does not leave a restriction elsewhere in the system.
- Treat production expansion, maintenance standby and emergency supply as separate requirements.
- Keep revision records for each stage's capacity, interfaces and implementation conditions.
