Variable-demand nitrogen supply
Use measured production profiles to choose capacity and control strategy.

A peak may last minutes while demand stays low through most of a shift. Measure production, changeovers, breaks and overnight use separately. Temporary metering can establish a baseline where reliable records are unavailable.
- Demand input: Complete shift demand curve
02Connect the complete system
Compare modulation, staged starts and buffering together with compressor control. Reduced nitrogen consumption does not guarantee proportional compressor savings. Record gas and electricity over matching periods to assess the response of the whole station.
- Interface input: Minimum sustained load; Peak duration
03Verify the configuration
Test low-load purity, recovery to full demand and cycling frequency. Compare energy at equal delivered quantity and quality, including all auxiliaries. Refine controls around actual shifts rather than extrapolating one design point.
