01Obtain machine-specific requirements
Record material, thickness range, nozzle and cutting-head requirements, machine count and duty pattern. Use the cutting-equipment supplier's data for the intended work. A generic nitrogen-flow figure cannot represent every cutting programme.
02Separate generation and boosting
The generator's output pressure may differ from the cutting-head requirement. Assess any booster, storage and distribution network at the required instantaneous flow. Include the electricity and maintenance of these components in a complete-system comparison.
03Test a representative cutting event
Measure pressure and flow at the relevant connection while cutting the agreed materials. Verify gas quality and evaluate cut quality through the production process. A static pressure reading or generator-only capacity test does not establish cutting performance at peak demand.
