01Specify the requirement early
Define the applicable oxygen-cleaning standard, component suitability and acceptance documentation with qualified designers. Purchase orders should identify oxygen service explicitly. A statement that a part is new or stainless steel does not establish cleanliness for the intended duty.
02Protect the cleaned condition
Agree packaging, storage, identification and site-handling controls. Record when a protected connection is opened and how its condition is maintained. Cleaning evidence loses value if later assembly introduces incompatible materials or uncontrolled contamination.
03Verify before release
Use the approved inspection and commissioning process for the installed oxygen system. Keep cleaning records linked to component or line identification. If contamination is suspected, obtain a qualified assessment rather than using an improvised solvent or treating a visual wipe as universal proof of suitability.
