01Start with the production use
Name the process and explain what nitrogen does there: blanketing, packaging, cutting or atmosphere control. List each use point and its required quality, pressure and normal flow. Mark estimates clearly so they are not mistaken for measured values.
02Capture timing and site conditions
Record peak flow with its duration and frequency, operating shifts, expansion plans and interruption tolerance. Add the available compressed-air supply, electrical service, installation space and project location. Photographs and a simple layout often resolve interface questions faster than a long equipment list.
03Separate open decisions
Identify which conditions are confirmed, which need measurement and which depend on the process supplier. Ask for proposals against a dated version of the brief. When a requirement changes, update the comparison sheet so earlier quotations are not evaluated against a different duty.
