01Use online instruments for trends
An installed analyser can show changes during production and support the functions for which it was designed. Its coverage is limited to the measured property and the installed sample system. An oxygen trend cannot verify every contaminant in a gas specification.
02Use laboratory work for the defined scope
A laboratory report can address specified components using documented methods, but it describes the submitted sample and its collection conditions. Agree sampling, container suitability and handling with the laboratory. The report should not be interpreted as continuous proof of every operating hour.
03Connect the evidence
Use a planned comparison at a defined operating condition to understand differences between methods. Record timing and sample locations. Keep online and laboratory responsibilities explicit in acceptance documents so neither is used to claim evidence beyond its actual scope.
