01Measure the limiting duty
Identify the use point with the least pressure margin and observe it during coincident demand peaks. Record losses across the distribution route. A station gauge that looks comfortably high may hide a restrictive downstream hose or regulator.
02Review control and storage effects
Pressure affects compressor control, receiver usable capacity and generator inlet conditions. Ask the equipment suppliers to confirm the permissible range. A change to the station pressure should not push the separator or a critical process outside its approved operating envelope.
03Use a controlled comparison
Qualified personnel should implement any approved adjustment with a rollback plan and monitoring. Compare power, product quality and use-point pressure over similar production periods. The acceptable outcome is maintained process performance with documented energy improvement, not a lower setpoint by itself.
