01Set the delivery basis
For purchased gas, identify what reaches the process after storage, vaporization, regulation and losses. For generated gas, use accepted output at the same pressure and quality. Keep volume reference conditions consistent across invoices, meters and equipment proposals.
02Capture supply-specific costs
Cylinder rental, handling and changeovers differ from liquid-tank rental, deliveries and evaporation losses. On-site generation adds electricity, treatment and maintenance. Include the backup arrangement needed by each option rather than assuming one supply mode has no interruption risk.
03Compare the actual demand pattern
Use annual quantity and peak requirements together. A supply mode that looks economical at steady demand may behave differently with long shutdowns or large seasonal changes. Keep contractual minimums and logistics constraints visible in the commercial comparison.
