Writing acceptance conditions into a gas-system agreement

Make performance statements testable before equipment is ordered.

01Define the delivery boundary

List the equipment included and mark the exact gas delivery connection. State flow, quality, pressure, reference conditions and the allowed inlet envelope together. Separate specified performance from descriptive brochure information and optional accessories.

02Describe the test

Agree measurement points, instruments, calibration evidence, sampling method, duration and load scenarios. Define how startup, off-specification gas and interruptions will be handled. If site utilities cannot reproduce the agreed inlet conditions, document how that affects the test decision.

03Set the close-out process

Identify who witnesses the test, owns the records and approves any open items. Use a clear procedure for discrepancies and retesting after corrective work. A signed table of instantaneous readings is less useful than a reproducible method with a documented acceptance rule.

Apply this guidance with the equipment manual, actual site conditions and applicable requirements. Design, operation and maintenance decisions need appropriately qualified personnel. Confirmed product documents govern a specific equipment supply.
