01Confirm design and installation records
Collect the approved flow diagram, layout, equipment list, utility requirements and interface schedule. Include inspection records and any unresolved deviations. Commissioning should not begin with the team discovering that a utility connection differs from the agreed design.
02Prepare instruments and procedures
Identify the test equipment, calibration evidence, sampling arrangements and acceptance criteria. Have the manufacturer's startup instructions and site safety arrangements available to qualified personnel. Confirm who is authorized to release gas to the process.
03Plan the record set
Use a form that captures operating conditions, observations, alarms and corrective actions with timestamps. Separate completed checks from open items and assign owners. The final report should explain what was tested and under which conditions, so future service teams can use it as a baseline.
