Why a small condensate drain matters to the whole gas station

Check drainage as an operating function, not simply a fitted accessory.

01Follow the water route

Cooling and separation collect liquid water at several points in an air-treatment system. If that water is not removed, it can be carried onward or reduce the effectiveness of downstream equipment. Mark each drain and its discharge destination on the inspection route.

02Look for two failure modes

A drain that fails closed can retain liquid; a drain that leaks continuously can waste compressed air. Record observed discharge behaviour, alarms and any unusual continuous flow using the approved inspection procedure. Do not open pressurized components to prove a suspicion.

03Close the maintenance loop

After qualified corrective work, confirm the expected drainage function and check downstream moisture indicators. Keep the incident time with any dryer or purity alarms. That correlation helps distinguish a local drain problem from a wider cooling or treatment-capacity issue.

Apply this guidance with the equipment manual, actual site conditions and applicable requirements. Design, operation and maintenance decisions need appropriately qualified personnel. Confirmed product documents govern a specific equipment supply.
