01Obtain equipment-specific information
Request operating weight, support locations, dynamic loads where relevant and the manufacturer's mounting requirements. Include connected compressors, blowers and vacuum units. A generic concrete pad detail cannot be assumed suitable for every package.
02Review the surrounding structure
Provide floor construction, nearby sensitive equipment and pipe-support arrangements to the qualified designer. Consider how vibration could travel through rigid connections. Confirm transport and lifting loads separately from the equipment's normal operating load.
03Document the installed baseline
During approved commissioning, record the required vibration observations and inspect supports and connections. Keep the baseline with the equipment identification and operating condition. Later changes can then be assessed against a meaningful reference rather than an operator's memory of how the unit sounded.
