01Distinguish the machine from the network
An oil-free compression design does not eliminate ambient contaminants, moisture, distribution corrosion or contamination from other connected equipment. The relevant question is whether air arriving at the generator meets its specified inlet conditions under actual operation.
02Compare the whole preparation duty
Review cooling, moisture removal, particles and any required hydrocarbon control independently. Consider whether the compressor shares a header with other sources. Certification or test data for one component should be read within its stated scope rather than extended to the entire factory network.
03Verify after integration
Agree appropriate checks at the generator connection and retain the test conditions. Revisit the quality assessment after changing compressors, receivers or pipework. Treatment can be optimized only when the complete air-quality requirement and the evidence for meeting it are clear.
