A site checklist for outdoor gas-generation packages

An enclosure does not remove the need to define the environment.

01Describe exposure

Provide ambient temperature range, weather exposure, dust, corrosion conditions and location constraints. Confirm access for service and safe movement around the package. The protection level of a component should not be interpreted as proof that the whole skid suits every outdoor location.

02Coordinate the auxiliaries

Review ventilation openings, drainage, cooling equipment, electrical connections and gas discharge routes. Check whether rain protection or acoustic measures change airflow. Establish the cold-weather requirements for water-containing equipment and instrument lines.

03Review operating access

Plan how maintenance, replacement lifting and emergency response will work in the actual location. Keep the final enclosure and layout drawings with the project file. Any site-built cover or later partition should be reviewed for its effect on cooling and gas accumulation.

Apply this guidance with the equipment manual, actual site conditions and applicable requirements. Design, operation and maintenance decisions need appropriately qualified personnel. Confirmed product documents govern a specific equipment supply.
