01Distinguish running from ready
A compressor and generator can be operating before the gas is suitable for the process. Review how the package indicates acceptable quality and handles gas that has not yet met the requirement. The running lamp should not be used as a substitute for that decision.
02Check the measurement chain
Confirm analyser status, sample conditions and relevant alarms as required by the operating procedure. Account for the time needed for the sample system and sensor to respond. A stale reading from before shutdown can misrepresent the new gas stream.
03Record unusual recovery
If the time to acceptable quality changes markedly, retain inlet conditions, demand and alarm history for review. Do not bypass quality diversion to start production sooner. Use the documented release rule and involve qualified support when the expected startup sequence is not achieved.
